Our Mission

Developing a Community, One Season at a Time

Our mission is to create a community that welcomes not just Little League players, but also their parents, volunteers, sponsors, and donors. Baseball teaches us all important life lessons that go way beyond the game itself.

  • Sportsmanship: Learning to win with grace and lose with dignity, respecting teammates, opponents, and officials.
  • Teamwork: Understanding how individual efforts contribute to collective success and how to support teammates.
  • Resilience: Developing the mental toughness to overcome challenges, learn from mistakes, and continue improving.
  • Discipline: Building the habits of punctuality, preparation, and consistent effort that lead to success.
  • Leadership: Finding opportunities to lead by example and positively influence others on and off the field.
  • Community: Being part of something larger than yourself and contributing positively to our shared experience.

Our goal isn't just to develop better baseball players—it's to help shape well-rounded individuals who carry the lessons of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship into every aspect of their lives.

Our Approach: By creating a positive baseball environment, we provide children with valuable life skills that will benefit them long after they've hung up their cleats.

  • Inclusive Environment: We welcome children of all skill levels and backgrounds to experience the joys of baseball in a supportive atmosphere.
  • Skilled Instruction: Our volunteer coaches receive training to ensure they can effectively teach both baseball fundamentals and important life skills.
  • Tournament Success: Our teams have competed and succeeded at the District, State, Regional, and National levels in the Little League International tournament.
  • Player Development: We focus not just on creating better baseball players, but on developing the whole child through teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
  • Community Connection: As a non-profit organization, we're deeply connected to our community and committed to making youth sports accessible to all families.

Our Approach: Time and again, our players have shown that determination, teamwork, and passion are the keys to making lifelong memories on the field. We create a positive experience that will benefit children long after they've hung up their cleats.

Welcome from the President

A message from Glendale Little League President Leia Olsen

Glendale Little League is one of Wisconsin's premier Little League programs. GLL provides an inclusive and safe baseball experience to over 400 players. Our focus is on player development, sportsmanship, community, teamwork, respect and FUN!

There are countless volunteers who contribute to creating our special GLL program. We have an incredible organization because of all the dedicated community members. This includes team managers, coaches, umpires, concession workers and grounds crew. Our fields and facilities are lauded for their quality and attention to detail. The Board of Directors work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep GLL running smoothly. Special thanks to all the families and fans who fill the stands to cheer on our players each and every game. With gratitude, we also recognize the generous donations of numerous sponsors and partners year after year.

For over 50 seasons, thousands of young people have passed through the GLL program playing a game they love, forging friendships and creating last memories together. I look forward to another great season immersed in the camaraderie of the GLL community.

Wishing everyone a great GLL season!
