Welcome to Glendale Little League!

Our programs offer young players of all skill levels the opportunity to develop their baseball abilities while having a great time on the field. From our youngest Tee Ball players to our experienced Juniors, we focus on building a love for the game and fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Tee Ball (Ages 4-6)

An Introduction to Baseball Fun

Our Tee Ball program is the perfect starting point for children aged 4-6 (K4 and K5) to learn the basics of baseball in a fun, non-competitive environment. Designed for those with little or no prior experience, this program emphasizes:

  • Fundamental Skills: Batting, catching, throwing, and base running.
  • Game Play: Organized games are played on Saturday mornings at Parkway Elementary School or Glendale Little League fields.
  • Friendly Atmosphere: No scores or standings are recorded, focusing solely on enjoyment and skill development.

Rookies - Coach Pitch League (Ages 5-7)

Next Step in Learning Baseball

The first step in our Rookies division is the Coach Pitch League, ideal for players in K5 and 1st grade (ages 5-7). Here’s what to expect:

  • Smooth Transition: Players hit a ball pitched by their coach, easing the move from Tee Ball to more advanced play.
  • Skill Building: Emphasis on batting fundamentals and fielding skills.
  • Recommended Experience: Completing at least one year of Tee Ball is strongly advised for new participants.

Rookies - Machine Pitch League (Ages 6-8)

Stepping Up the Game

Our second level in the Rookies division, the Machine Pitch League, is perfect for players in 1st and 2nd grade (ages 6-8) ready for more structured play. Key features include:

  • Consistent Pitching: A pitching machine ensures accuracy and promotes confidence at bat.
  • Competitive Yet Fun: Players experience a more challenging, engaging game environment.
  • Experience Requirement: At least one year of Coach Pitch or Machine Pitch experience is recommended.

Minors League (Ages 9-10)

Building Skills and Understanding the Full Game

The Minors League helps players in 3rd and 4th grade (ages 9-10) advance their skills, introducing them to live pitching and refining their understanding of game strategy. This league focuses on:

  • Player Pitching: Introduction to pitching and increased strategic play.
  • Skill Development: Advanced techniques in batting, fielding, and base running.

Majors League (Ages 11-12)

Advancing to the Next Level

For players in 5th and 6th grade (ages 11-12), the Majors League emphasizes refining skills and understanding complex game concepts. This league offers:

  • Advanced Techniques: Focus on situational play and teamwork.
  • Competitive Environment: Games become more competitive as players prepare for higher-level play.

Juniors League (Ages 12-14)

The Full Baseball Experience

Our Juniors League is for 7th and 8th graders (ages 12-14), featuring play on a full-sized diamond. It offers:

  • Complete Baseball Skills: Players learn to adapt to full-scale baseball rules.
  • Enhanced Strategy: Deeper understanding of game dynamics and positions.

Fall Ball (All Ages)

Keep the Fun Going!

Our Fall Ball program provides an opportunity for players of all ages to enjoy baseball in a relaxed, off-season setting. With a focus on skill experimentation and casual play:

  • Relaxed Atmosphere: Enjoy “pick-up game” style sessions.
